Job Overview:
As a Forklift Mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on forklifts.
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.
Recondition and replace key components.
Respond promptly to service requests and provide timely solutions.
Ensure work areas and tools are organized and meet safety standards.
Assist with equipment delivery and setup as needed.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience as a Forklift Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively.
Certification in forklift repair or a related field is an asset.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Service Manager - reporting to the branch manager, to come and join our team in Burnaby. You should have exposed or experience repairing Aerial equipment, excavators, Compaction! This position is Monday to Friday With On call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Service Techs
- Perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery at various job sites
- Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
- Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
- Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain and improve profitability of the Service Department
- Assign and schedule daily repair work for both in-shop and field service techs
- Monitor service work orders
Requirements:
- Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Must have at least 3 years hands on experience of aerial platform equipment, generator, pumps, diesel engine equipment background preferred
- Ability to work constructively under pressure
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrates initiative and strong organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
