We are looking for a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Service Manager - reporting to the branch manager, to come and join our team in Burnaby. You should have exposed or experience repairing Aerial equipment, excavators, Compaction! This position is Monday to Friday With On call duties.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of Service Techs 
• Perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery at various job sites
• Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
• Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
• Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
• Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
• Build positive relationships with customers
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Maintain and improve profitability of the Service Department
• Assign and schedule daily repair work for both in-shop and field service techs
• Monitor service work orders

Requirements:

• Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Must have at least 3 years hands on experience of aerial platform equipment, generator, pumps, diesel engine equipment background preferred
• Ability to work constructively under pressure
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrates initiative and strong organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Red Seal is ideal
